Welcome to my site! My name is Shane Gregoire. I graduated from Boston College a year early, in May 2015, with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Philosophy; I'm now heading into my final year of law school at WashU in St. Louis on a nearly full scholarship. Across the past 7+ years, I've worked as a versatile tutor, and in the summer of 2019 I began to specialize on the LSAT. I scored a 175 on the November 2018 LSAT (PrepTest 86) and am dedicated to assisting my students to the best of my abilities. I consciously emphasize certain core qualities during my lesson work: vigilance, steadfastness, sound judgment and balance.

Vigilance: When I work with a student, that student has my strict attention for the duration of our lesson, as I make it my top priority to be engaging and do my job as best I can. I don't tolerate being "off my game", so if I ever feel as though I failed to make great use of lesson time, then I will compensate the student accordingly. I guarantee quality instruction to each of my students because that's what each deserves and because I care about doing my job extremely well.

Steadfastness: Like everyone, I've had a few things not break my way over the years, so when I see my students striving to push past obstacles, I consider it a primary part of my job to help them persevere. Maintaining focus and personal resolve when things aren't going your way is paramount to success - in academics, athletics, and life in general. I'll help you make a good plan and stick to it.

Sound judgment: Act in the manner most fitting to the situation at hand. Sometimes, especially when things start to get hard, it's tempting to deviate from your plan. Unless you actually have reason to believe circumstances have changed or something isn't working, though, often the wisest thing to do is stay the course. Whenever it comes time to make an adjustment, maybe at a score plateau, I'm there to advise my students on what change(s) to make.

Balance: Be measured. Some of my students can be a bit overzealous in their studies, which I can personally appreciate, while others may be more prone to distraction and not push themselves hard enough. A key aspect of my role as a tutor is to help students find a study schedule and strategy that works for them - personal temperament, age, and outside commitments all considered.
